2008 Cherry Red
58% Zinfandel, 20% Mourvedre, 15% Syrah, 7% Petite Syrah

This lush and young beauty first strikes with hints of black cherry, tar and cinnamon. Its velvet texture is packed with natural acidity and hints of smoked American wood. This wine is a dreamer and a believer all in the same glass. Dancing with a series of spins and flowing grace, Cherry Red will remind you why you fell in love with wine.

2008 Problem Child
72% Zinfandel, 16% Syrah 12% Mourvèdre

This vintage of Problem Child reminds me of what I love most about Zinfandel. A smoky nose with hints of ripe berry and lots of sweet clove. Solid structure with bursts of luscious blackberry, dried fruits on the mid and essence of orange. The total package! Drink now through 2015.

2008 Sticks & Stones
57% Grenache, 29% Mourvèdre, 14% Syrah

When I am preparing to blend Sticks, I look for solid and aromatically concentrated barrels of Grenache that make your mouth water. On their own, these barrels are delicious but often lack finish and elegance. The introduction of specific Mourvedre barrels adds a subtle, earthy quality along with wonderful finishing tannins. A splash of Syrah softens any acidic feeling and brings about a lush palate. Upon tasting, the 2008 Sticks and Stones starts off with rich aromatics of boysenberry and raspberry that lead to a mouthful of of vine fruits with ints of roasted meat and tar. Ready to drink now, but can be held for three to five years.

2008 Rising Tides
50% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre

Like the oceans of the world, Rising Tides changes on a daily basis. A globetrotter of a wine, one minute you find yourself savoring new world flavors, while the next you are experiencing an onslaught of old world minerality. Plums and boysenberry predominate the fruit tones, followed by mouth watering flavor shots of roasted meats and toast. Consume this wine over the next 5-7 years.
